An interim analysis of 94 individuals conducted by an independent data-monitoring committee found that the vaccine efficacy rate was above 90%, seven days after the second dose. However, the proteins produced by this product are sufficiently immunogenic to prime the host immune system to mount an effective immune response against the disease-causing pathogen.
